Regular Meeting at Maria's Family Restaurant, 81-83 Essex Street, Haverhill, MA. Guest speakers 2004-2005 District Governor Stephen P. Ouellette and CST Elaine Lloyd.

    • 2004-2005 District Governor Stephen P. Ouellette congratulated the Club for its 60th Anniversary and spoke about:
      • “WORKING TOGETHER FOR A BETTER TOMORROW“
      • The "State of the District" including the formation of two new Leo Clubs and a new program with the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation.
      • Presented District Governor Lapel Pins and Mouse Pads to:
        • Haverhill Lions President/PDG John Pettis, Jr.
        • Haverhill Lions Secretary Diane McCorry
        • Haverhill Lions Treasurer Thomas Palmaccio
        • Haverhill Lions Life Member Morris Piccolo
      • Our contributions to Mass Eye Research.
      • The service of our Club's 12 Melvin Jones Fellow Recipients, 3 Past District Governors and CST's.
      • The upcoming Mid-Winter Convention in Andover, Massachusetts in January 2005 with a theme of "TEAMS" and how we can "share success through service".
      • The upcoming State Convention in May 2005 in Nashua, New Hampshire.
    • 2004-2005 CST Elaine Lloyd congratulated the Club for its 60th Anniversary and spoke about the upcoming Mid-Winter, Membership and how increasing the public's awareness to the Lions Club is the best "PR" a Club can have.

    • Visual Aid Foundation Treasurer and Methuen Lion David O'Brien spoke about the success of our recent Nick's Opportunities Salsa Night and the creation of the "Nicholas Fund". On behalf of the Haverhill Lions Club, Haverhill Lions President/PDG John Pettis, Jr. presented Lion David O'Brien with a check for $4,000.00 to go towards the purchase of Nick's Humanware BrailleNote BT32.
      • Haverhill Lions Club Photo - Picture of Visual Aid Foundation Treasurer and Methuen Lion David O'Brien spoke about the success of the recent Nick's Opportunities Salsa Night and the creation of the District 33N "Nicholas Fund".
    • Haverhill Lions President/PDG John Pettis, Jr. displayed a "Friendship Banner" received from the Castle Point Lions Club, UK, members who visited at Nick's Opportunities.
    • Lion Dan Hickey reported that there is a very good possibility that 2 Haverhill High School Band Members may be interested in the All State Band.
    • Longtime Haverhill Lions Club Life Members Francis Berube and Leo Boucher joined us for dinner.
    • 2nd District Advisory report was presented.
    • Holiday Party information was discussed.
