    There will be a vote on Tuesday, September 5, 2004, at our regular club meeting to amend the Haverhill Lions Club Constitution and By-laws.

Current:
Article VIII – Board of Directors – #2 ‘Regular meetings of the Board of Directors will be held monthly at such time and place as determined by the Board.’

The proposed amendment is:
Article VIII – Board of Directors – #2 ‘Regular meetings of the Board of Directors will be to bi-monthly at such time and place as determined by the Board.’


The acceptance or decline of this amendment will be reflective on the majority of the vote. Please defend your position by attending the meeting.

The Haverhill Lions Club needs EVERY MEMBER to help with our Annual Street Collection Day. If there is only one event 
you can participate in this year, please make it this event. We need ALL Life Members and Members,  (active or not), 
to make this year's collection better and more successful than ever.  We had a "trial year" last year and 
raised over $1,100.00 with only a very small crew. As you know, Haverhill is a very large city in area, almost 36 square 
miles, with many busy street intersections where we can collect. Please contact Co-Chairpersons 1st VP Linda Lynch at 
(978) 521-6906 or IPP Jane Sweeney at (978) 373-8322 of you would like to participate.
