Graphic showing March 28, 2008 (Friday) 7:00 pm: Haverhill Lions Club Second Annual Trivia Championship Challenge, at Maria's Family Restaurant, Essex/Locust Street, Haverhill, MA. Teams of one to eight players may compete for the prizes and the title of Haverhill's Smartest Trivia team. Donation: $10 per person or $50 for a table of up to eight players. 1st PRIZE: $200.00, 2nd PRIZE: $100.00, 3rd PRIZE: $50.00.   • February 29, 2008 -- "Leaping Lions" Wine Tasting:

Graphic showing The Haverhill Lions Club and Maria's Restaurant are presenting a Tasting of fine Italian wines, imported cheeses, gourmet samples and decadent desserts on Leaping Lions night. Mark you calendars for Feb. 29th. The tasting will start at 7:30, but the doors will open at 6:30. The cost is $35.00 in advance. The Haverhill Lions Presents their annual Holiday party at Maria's. Date: Dec.22nd, 2007 Time: 5-6 P.M. Cocktails. Dinner to follow. Menu - Appetizers: Maza Plate. Entrees: Prime Rib, Baked Stuffed Shrimp, Chicken Picatta. Haverhill Lions Club Photo - November 6, 2007 -- 2007-2008 Club President Jane Sweeney presents Haverhill Police Officer Osmond "Ozzie" Hardy with check for the "Officer Ozzie's 2007 Christmas Campaign for Kids". Since 1988, Officer Hardy has distributed thousands of articles of clothing, such as winter coats, hats, mittens and gloves, to ensure disadvantaged children from toddlers to age 12 have something warm to wear during the winter months. In addition, Officer Hardy delivers toys to help put a smile on their faces. In 2006, Officer Hardy distributed over 4000 items to over 600 children.
